Comic Con is officially over. I made it through and while it was a more low key year than other times, I’m glad for it because my body could not have handled more. Highlights were seeing William Shatner, Keanu Reeves, and walking into pretty much anything I wanted.

Now that Comic Con is over, I can get back to my drum lessons, which I’m super excited about! I’ve been working on another You Me At Six song called “Little Death.” That one accented sequence with the doubles is going to be the death of me but I will get it! Maybe I should go practice on my pad…

I saw the Goo Goo Dolls at the fair this past week. It was a redeeming show of sorts since the last time I saw them, Johnny Rzeznik was so drunk it took him three tries to get the lyrics to Iris correct. This time they basically played all of “Dizzy Up The Girl” along with some new stuff I didn’t know. It was fun and I very much enjoyed myself! They sound exactly the same live as they do recorded. So good! I wish I had the energy to make it out to more stuff last week but this heat is slowly killing me…

I’m finally home after being gone for 2.5 weeks. What was one of the first things I did when I got home? I went to a show of course! Actually, a friend had an extra ticket to see Dean Lewis at the Observatory in North Park and I happily attended! The show was great but slightly marred by the rudest woman I’ve ever had the displeasure of asking to hush or move. Why is it so hard to be friendly and courteous? Sigh.
