I had an absolute blast at the Get Back Loretta show on Saturday. It was like one giant family reunion with some people I hadn’t seen in years. It honestly felt like I was taken back 7 years or so to “way back when” and “the good old days.” I’m hoping Get Back Loretta decides to start doing more shows again but I suppose I shouldn’t be too greedy.

I’m currently on my way to Boston to visit my friend and her whole little family who I haven’t seen in over a year. I’m not really sure what we will get up to during my stay but I’m doing my darnedest to be ready for the cold weather. I know there will be lots of singing and eating involved so everything after that is just icing on the cake. Let’s see what I’ll be missing out on…

I don’t have anything much to report on my end here. I had inventory at work for two days and that was a thing. I’m super bummed that tickets to Botlerock sold out before I got a chance to get my own and I’ve been eyeing Paleyfest as well. I have a trip to the east coast coming up this month. I’m on a quest to find some snow boots or anything that will be waterproof and warm. I’ve been to NY in January and Chicago in December so I’m guessing this might be comparable but I don’t know if I can handle weather in the teens so we shall see how that goes. But I’m still here this week so let’s see what’s going on this week…

How was everyone’s first week of 2018? Mine was good. Pretty uneventful in terms of anything new and exciting going on. I’m currently finishing binge watching “Longmire” before it leaves Netflix and I’m not ashamed that it’s been my main evening occupier. We are supposed to get some rain on Tuesday which I am more than ready for. I think I will celebrate by making butternut squash mac and cheese but let’s see if this rain turns up first.

Happy New Year!! I hope you all had a fabulous, fun, and safe evening. I spent mine at home binge watching “Longmire” and I will be sorry when I reach the end. I’m looking forward to 2018 and the bright new possibilities it will bring all of us but I admit that the past year flew by in a blur. I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas or whatever you celebrate. I made prime rib and twice baked potatoes. I really need to start watching what I eat a little bit better as I might have over indulged during the holidays but, ’tis the season! The rest of my holiday was pretty low key. I missed a Disney trip during Christmas time this year due to the fire weather warnings. Kind of a bummer but it’s not like I’ve never been during the holidays. I’m glad it’s starting to feel a little more like a San Diego winter here. It’s about time!
