Highlights of my week included bringing home my drum kit, watching Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them (twice), recording the AMAs so I could watch James Bay slay Let It Go on television, and enjoying the sound of rain! It was a pretty good week.

I hope everyone has a lovely and yummy Thanksgiving this week, whether it’s with friends or family or friends who are your family. I’m making gluten free apple pie and mashed potatoes to bring to Thanksgiving this year. Also making my own turkey and stuffing because there’s never enough left overs!

I’ve had one crazy awesome fantastic week in LA and down here in San Diego. I went from dancing at The Bootleg Theater with our Irish loves Walking On Cars to dancing in the Constellation Room with Hudson Thames, William Beckett, and The Summer Set to shooting the sold out show at The Fonda with The Hunna and The Struts. That was followed by an amazing weekend with some out of town friends and finally attending The Wizarding World of Harry Potter! What a wonderful week!

Happy Halloween! I have zero plans for one of my favorite holidays but that’s totally okay as I’ve had some pretty epic ones. My plan is to put on some Jeffree Star lip stuff in the black color and call it a day. And I’m totally okay with that. Actually, I’m getting ready to go up to LA this week for a week full of shows and then back down here for some fun festivities.

Saturday night I made it up to Pour House to witness Mrs. Henry play all night long. They weren’t kidding about the all night long and I actually had to leave before they finished tearing up the stage. But it was a wonderful night with some great guest appearances including Roger Molina of Creature and The Woods and Reilly Brian of The Schizophonics, and so many more. It was a good night.

This week is absolutely packed with some amazing shows. The always fantastic Reeve Carney is gracing the Casbah on Tuesday, Kongos and Joy Formidable at Music Box on Wednesday, too many options on Thursday…. Well, you get the idea. Have fun!

I spent the vast majority of my weekend in a movie theater since they’ve rereleased the Harry Potter films in IMAX theaters all over. They started showing the movies on Thursday and it ends on Thursday but Saturday and Sunday provided a perfect opportunity to binge watch Harry Potter from the beginning on the big screen. My only regret is a few things I ate. But, the Barnes & Noble next to the theater became the Three Broomsticks and offered drinks like Polyjuice Potion, Butterbeer, and Wolfsbane Potion. Smart marketing as I tried two out of three.

I was so very tempted to see Cute Is What We Aim For at the Casbah this week but alas, I didn’t have the energy nor the desire to leave my couch that evening. Also, the heat this week has been a killer, especially after enjoying some cool weather back east. Thankfully this week is supposed to cool down a bit which is music to my ears.
