Last week I was inspired by a wild hair and a coupon code from Seat Geek so, I ended up making it out to Pierce the Veil! It was fun to see everyone dressed up and living their best life at a big arena show. I haven’t been to one of those in awhile. I’m also super stoked I got to see In Color since their cancelled their Soda Bar show (now we know why) as well as Julia Wolf. This week hold some heavy hitter names you might recognize as well. Greetings from out of town! I am wildly bummed to be missing some amazing shows this week (including The Maine in Anaheim on the 21st) but I am away celebrating my birthday! I decided to splurge on myself this year and go back to my youth in a way. Let’s just say my plans include horses, good food, the pool, playing pool, dressing up, and relaxing. I took a jaunt up to LA to catch The Wrecks 10 year anniversary show in Pomona, of all places. The show was magical (albeit one of the hottest I’ve attended in recent memory) and especially lovely because they FINALLY played “Way With Words” after many many years of it being out of rotation. It was a sweaty time but it was a wonderful time!! The comedown after that show took… a while. No complaints though. No notes other than the choice of venue that apparently doubled as a sauna.

I decided to stay up there for The Strike, as they played SD on Friday (direct conflict) and LA on Saturday. So, why not? I’m glad to be home though and I’m in the middle of some prep before my birthday next week!

I made the mistake of spending too much time outside during this heat wave and it resulted in a spectacular power nap on my couch. I’m still feeling a little dead in the head though.
