Well, I’m getting over my cold. There’s still some lingering ick hanging around but I feel better than I did last time I posted. I’m super happy things are clearing up too because I had the absolute pleasure of seeing AFI on Wednesday at the sold out show at the Observatory North Park and holy crap. Mind blown. I hadn’t seen AFI in years and they were just so so good. Definitely the highlight of my week!

I made it out to see Dreamers and The Griswolds last night! I really wanted to catch Armors as well but I didn’t get there early enough and I missed them by like, five minutes. Sad face. It was a super fun show though. If you haven’t checked out those bands, do it while you can!

This week I hope to drag myself out of the house for a show or two. I had a super busy week, or so it seemed. I did nap a lot and I spent a lot of it being sore after some really good workouts. I feel like I was productive but I might have undone all that work with the amount of food I ate on Sunday. It was all worth it though. I never thought I’d be someone who missed the rain, but after this wind we’ve had the past few days, I think I would rather have the rain again. At least the wind is helping things dry out, so I really shouldn’t complain. However, I have had a scratchy throat off and on so I’m not sure if I’m getting sick, have allergies, or am just dried out from the weather. The joys!

I made it out to one night of the Mrs. Henry Mothership Extravaganza at Pour House. However, their playing power far outlasted my stamina to be out. I have no idea what time they finished playing, but I’m sure it was long after I left. It was a lovely evening though and I wish I could have enjoyed more but despite their high energy show, I was drifting off. I guess that’s what happens after two workouts in a day and doing barn things that morning. Ah well.
