Well, I made it out for a show this Tuesday night but that was about it for me. It’s been an exhausting week and I doubt it’s going to let up anytime soon. You know, this whole bi-polar weather thing is getting really out of hand. Thankfully today was cooler than yesterday and by that I mean it was mid 90’s instead of triple digits. Last, I checked, this was San Diego, not Arizona. I did manage to make it out of the house on Friday for the Redwoods Revue, which was a truly enjoyable evening especially because I ran into some friends I hadn’t seen for awhile. Always fun. This week looks pretty good too. Rocktober is holding strong.

I was lucky enough to have two wonderful show experiences this weekend. First was Creature and The Woods at Winston’s in Ocean Beach. I haven’t been there in years but I had a lovely time and even found a new band I like called Bedroom Talk out of Riverside. It was a late night, but a good night. The second was with Parade of Lights at The Loft at UCSD. We almost didn’t make it into the show but we got lucky and had a wonderful time! There was a lot of dancing and even an encore! Lovely evenings!

This week is shaping up to be another good one. We are just getting Rocktober started after all…

This weather has been absolutely miserable. It’s September, almost October and you just need to cool down. Literally. Weather wasn’t the only thing hot this weekend though. I caught the very first show of Billy Sunday, a side project of Jeremiah Zimmerman of The Silent Comedy which also featured a few other Silent Comedy peeps and a Fierce Creature. The next time they play, you have to go!! It was just a dancing good time! I mean, I wasn’t dancing because heat and sweat but a lot of people were and I was bouncing in my seat so that counts, right?

Howdy all! This post is coming to you courtesy of a friend’s laptop because I left my laptop at home for my Chicago trip and I forgot that I come in late Monday night. Whoops!
