Another calendar post, another week goes by. Only this time, we head into a brand spanking new year filled with new hope, new promises, new music, new bands, and all kinds of newness. If you want to hang on to some of 2013 or see some of Kristen’s musical highlights you should journey here. Although 2013 was a much better year for me personally than 2012, I’m ready to see what 2014 has in store for me. Also, I can’t wait to see what awesome shows await my presence. That sounds kind of pretentious. Scratch that.

Yesterday was my last day of dancing at the MiraCosta College dance show. It was a really fun experience but I’m glad it’s over so I can get back to my main squeeze, live music shows! I was really bummed to miss out on some choice shows last week but this week is looking mighty busy as well. I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! As per usual, my mom and I made way too much food for just the two of us. It’s ok because that means there are lots of leftovers to nosh on. This week included a trip up to Pioneertown to watch The Silent Comedy on Friday, which meant getting back to town Saturday at 4 am. Totally worth it though. I also managed to make it out of the house last night and hang with a friend I haven’t seen in ages at The Tragic Thrills and Basic Vacation show at the Griffin. There was also some pool playing, long conversations, and a minor pool related injury. Good stuff.
