This is the first time I’ve been on my laptop since I left town on Friday morning for a wedding in New Hampshire. The wedding was super fun with good food, new friends, and some crazy good dance times. I got back in town yesterday and went to see Fall Out Boy, Panic! at the Disco, and twenty one pilots that evening. I totally forgot how much fun a big arena show with great production can be. I’m spending today recovering from all the travel and dancing the last few days have held because there is so much stuff going on this week. There is a ton of stuff to see this week including, Hanson, Blackout Party, The Naked and Famous, Dear Boy (first SD show!), Rock the Boat, and The Nervous Wreckords to name a few. Warning:

Well I’m finally recovered from the craziness of Saturday night and the San Diego Music Thing. After a kick ass set from The Silent Comedy, it was dinner with friends, The Hollerin, The Nervous Wreckords, and Transfer to end the night. I ended up taking a three hour nap yesterday to make up for it. Music this week is not slowing down either with Bastille tonight and X-Fest on Friday and FM 94/9 Independence Jam on Saturday. Holy Smoke.

Well this is definitely a change of pace. I’m up in LA for the first show of the Dear Boy residency tonight and will return to my humble home of San Diego tomorrow when I have to get back to reality. However, this week is the San Diego Music thing which has some great acts playing like Ra Ra Riot, New Politics, The Silent Comedy, Transfer, Dead Feather Moon, FIDLAR, The Album Leaf, Little Hurricane, and so many more. You can find the lineup for the music fest here. It’s a great way to sample music all around San Diego. If that’s not your thing, there are a *few* other options for you to indulge in though. Amanda’s SD Concert Calendar 9/2-9/8

This calendar post is coming to you a little late for a few reasons. Reason 1: Spent all day yesterday cleaning out and reorganizing my tack shed at the barn which made getting up at a decent hour this morning a little difficult. Reason 2: On the way to the barn this morning a beautiful Siberian husky had decided to cross a busy street on it’s own and stop traffic. Fortunately, the dog stopped right at our truck, we picked it up, and proceeded to look for the owner since it didn’t have a collar. Thankfully, we found the owner in less than 20 minutes and did a good deed for the day. However, that meant getting to the barn even later so….. yeah.

I had a divine weekend of relaxation and napping. Although the napping was due to being out at the barn all day long which resulted in a crash from 3:30-6pm. It was totally worth it though. I feel refreshed and much better this week. If only my stupid ringer wouldn’t shut itself off in the morning when I need it to work, I’d be all good.
