With only 15 days left in my search, I finally found a new place to live in LA! I just signed the paper work and I’m currently shaking, either from the acceptance of such a big change or perhaps from the caffeine in the chai tea my new landlady made for me.
The stress of looking for a place to live was only mitigated last week by a few choice outings to The Hotel Cafe. That place really does wonders for my soul. I am hoping for some equally inspiring musical experiences this week. My show picks are a couple of local faves, Queen Caveat Monday at The Echoplex and Dear Boy Tuesday at The Troubadour. Also, if you happen to be in town Sunday you’d be a fool not to check out The Mimosa Series at The Federal Bar featuring Dan Wilson and Nicole Atkins.
