I’m heading to Austin tomorrow for a week of music! If you’re in LA and would like to feel like you’re at SXSW with me, I have a few suggestions:

– Go see a band from another country (UK’s Girli or The Silver Lines)
– Sample a bunch of artists at a showcase (Monday Monday, WFNM, Writer’s Block) – bonus if you go to more than one showcase in a night!
– Attend a free show with up-and-coming local bands (Weds night at Harvard & Stone)
– Luck into tickets for a big artist in a small venue (Beck, Ellie Goulding, Weezer)
