Yesterday’s SoCal Sound BENEFEST was the highlight of my week. We had one of my favorites (Jade Bird), a legend (Jackson Browne) a taste of some local talent (Cayucas, Jems), and an artist I’ve enjoyed for years but have never seen (Pete Yorn)…Plus seated theater shows is exactly what my torn knee needs right now!

Next week offers some difficult choices. If you want to follow what I’ve been listening to lately, I’ll be picking shows based on opening acts – we’ve got SXSW fave Beccs opening at the Regent Theater, Haleigh Bowers at Gold-Diggers and Reignwolf playing with Kaleo at the Wiltern.
