This post comes to you on the heels of Comic Con, so I might be slightly out of it but I’ve definitely had more sleep this time around than in previous years. I also managed to make it into every panel I wanted to see, which is a first for me! On an unrelated note, I’d also like to say if you ever get the opportunity to see Hugh Jackman live, do it! Happy Monday! I made it out to three shows last week! Three!!! And they were back to back to back. My Wednesday was filled with pop nostalgia by way of Tyler Hilton, Ryan Cabrera, Aaron Carter, O-Town and hosted by Lance Bass at the fair. My Thursday was Lindsey Sterling at the fair and she exceeded even my high expectations! She’s got some major talent that one. My Friday was The Bones of JR Jones at Soda Bar where I made a new friend and got some quality time with friends of old who I don’t get to see nearly enough. Also, I spent a lovely Saturday seeing the Padres play the Cardinal with my mom and Kristen. I’ve never seen the Padres put down so many home runs in a game! All good feels and good vibes to carry me through the week.

I had the absolute pleasure of seeing Simple Plan at the fair last week. I’m fairly sure the only time I’ve seen them was when Paramore opened for them at Soma. Maybe I caught them on a Warped Tour but I can’t remember if that’s the case. However, they played all the hits and a few songs I didn’t know. Apparently, the singer used to live in San Diego and he recently moved and it took him leaving for them to play the fair. I didn’t care though; it was a great time, the audience was great, and I left feeling happy with my head full of those pop-punk/emo songs that give you all the feels.

I made it out for some country music last week at the local fair. If you must know it was Tobey Keith and he played everything I wanted to hear from him. I was pretty happy with the show but I love to laugh at all the people playing cowboy dress up.Speaking of the fair, I’m looking forward to a few more shows at the fair this year including Simple Plan and a pop show with Lance Bass and O-Town and some other people. In more domestic news, I have a new mattress and comforter and I’m pretty excited about it. It’s the small things, you know?
