This heat has been an absolute killer this week! It rendered me nearly incapacitated today when I got home from the barn. I probably could have napped all day but decided that I needed to wake up (however sucky that was) so that I could get up early and attempt to beat the heat again. Speaking of heat, the Creature and The Woods ep release show was absolutely on fire! I’m so glad I made it out to that this past week. My impending musical adventure for the week is some Mad T Party for my birthday. If I’m being honest, after the packed week we just had, this week is looking pretty bleak.

The crazy heat was a killer this week. I came home a few times from the barn and either passed out or needed some serious recovery time before I was semi-functional again. I did get a musical adventure this week in the form of Mad T Party at Disneyland with all my favorite people on stage at once. It had some really special moments. With all the travel I’ve been doing this past week, it’s been really hard to keep my days straight. By the time you are reading this, I will be however many thousand feet up in the air (again) for the second half of my Neon Trees Summer Vacation. I’m super excited because I’m sneaking in some James Bay during my trip and that guy is always worth taking some time to see. I’ll also be visiting friends I only get to see every so often so that will be very nice. The weather back there is about as yucky (read: humid) as it is here. Probably worse actually. This is the first time I’ve packed a swimsuit for a trip and I also packed shorts despite my deep distaste for wearing them. Oy.

Well, another Comic Con has come and gone. I’m Confluenza free (yay!) and a week from today I’ll be taking off for the second half of my Neon Trees vacation. I hope everyone had a lovely 4th celebrating America and her independence. Mine was pretty chill, which was perfect because I had been to two shows the night before and I just can’t hack it like I used to. Yesterday was spent at Disneyland so I had a fairly productive weekend. Now, I have to buckle down and get some stuff done before the crew from High Voltage comes down for Comic Con.
