October is probably one of my favorite months of the year and it is in full swing. This means the weather is cooling down (yay!), I get to bust out my scarves and boots, and I can pick up all kinds of assorted pumpkin goodies at Trader Joe’s. Amanda’s SD Concert Calendar 9/30-10/6

Holy crap what a crazy busy weekend I had! Once again this is the first time I’ve been on my computer since Thursday. I wasn’t even out of town this weekend! I worked a rodeo on Friday night and Saturday afternoon, had dinner with the lovely Lauren Ruggles and some other peeps for her birthday, and then went to see Dear Boy play the Griffin. It was their first show in San Diego ever! It was a good night with good people and good music, which always makes for a good time. Sunday was a snap back to the horse world of my life and it ended up being a long day in the sun.

Today is a good day though! I had a wonderful ride on my horse and I’m heading up to LA shortly to catch the last show of the Dear Boy residency at the Bootleg tonight. San Diego has a pretty busy week with Vampire Weekend, Jake Bugg, Bob Schneider, Phillip Phillips, Yellowcard, Get Back Loretta, and You Me at Six, just to name a few. Get your engines ready….

This is the first time I’ve been on my laptop since I left town on Friday morning for a wedding in New Hampshire. The wedding was super fun with good food, new friends, and some crazy good dance times. I got back in town yesterday and went to see Fall Out Boy, Panic! at the Disco, and twenty one pilots that evening. I totally forgot how much fun a big arena show with great production can be. I’m spending today recovering from all the travel and dancing the last few days have held because there is so much stuff going on this week. Well I’m finally recovered from the craziness of Saturday night and the San Diego Music Thing. Well this is definitely a change of pace. I’m up in LA for the first show of the Dear Boy residency tonight and will return to my humble home of San Diego tomorrow when I have to get back to reality. However, this week is the San Diego Music thing which has some great acts playing like Ra Ra Riot, New Politics, The Silent Comedy, Transfer, Dead Feather Moon, FIDLAR, The Album Leaf, Little Hurricane, and so many more. Amanda’s SD Concert Calendar 9/2-9/8

This calendar post is coming to you a little late for a few reasons. Reason 1: Spent all day yesterday cleaning out and reorganizing my tack shed at the barn which made getting up at a decent hour this morning a little difficult. Reason 2: On the way to the barn this morning a beautiful Siberian husky had decided to cross a busy street on it’s own and stop traffic. Fortunately, the dog stopped right at our truck, we picked it up, and proceeded to look for the owner since it didn’t have a collar. Thankfully, we found the owner in less than 20 minutes and did a good deed for the day. However, that meant getting to the barn even later so….. yeah.
