It has been a long and rather painful week for me with some highlights thrown in. I was up in LA on Saturday for the Neon Trees show at The Wiltern and I guested on the High Voltage radio show with Neon Trees which will be airing on June 28th. The show I’m most excited for this week is the sold out Milk Carton Kids show at The Belly Up on Sunday evening.

By the time you fine folks read this, I will either on a plane or already in Austin. This week kicks off my Neon Trees tour. I’ll be in Austin tonight for the show at Stubbs. The Rialto Theater is on Wednesday, The Cosmopolitan Hotel on Thursday, and Humphrey’s on Friday! I’m super excited for the adventure and mini vacation. Happy Memorial Day to everyone out there! I started my day watching a ceremony they were having at a cemetery next to my barn. They were playing old time American music (I’m not really sure what else to call it) and there was a beautiful speech complete with a 21 gun salute. Watching that was a big reminder of how lucky we are to live where we live because we have people who fight for this country. It’s pretty beautiful.

I had a wonderful time partaking in the dance show at MiraCosta this semester and really enjoyed being around all the people who were a part of the show. It was a super fun experience but man, I’m tired. Today is a recovery day for me after having to book it out to the barn. The heat and Santa Ana winds are back. Goody. And I mean that sarcastically.
