Today is all about running errands, watching Coupling, listening to Joe Firstman, and finishing the book I’ve been reading. I’m desperately trying to reset myself for the week ahead.

There are plenty of exciting shows next week, but my pick of the week goes to Meg Myers at The El Rey Tuesday night. I’ve been loving her new album and Meg always puts on an incredibly dynamic performance. Bonus points for having Dark Waves as an opener.

Today appears to be a creepy crawly sits on your shoulder/$600 utility bill for a place you no longer live kind of day. I did get to play with a nice young woman’s puppy outside of a coffee shop so I suppose there was some brightness. New goal: work in a place that is pet friendly.

Musically speaking, show pick of the week has to be Nashville’s Moon Taxi playing The Troubadour Wednesday night.

Last week was a busy one. From an intimate Jack Garratt show, dancing with Young Rising Sons, interviewing Aaron Bruno (AWOLNATION) before one of the best shows I’ve seen this year, and a full weekend of Comikaze craziness, I’m feeling a bit…tired?
