Spotify Wrapped tells me that I should be living in York, UK. This is not terribly surprising given that my playlists are peppered with British rock bands. Topping my list this year were The Hara, Bilk, and King No-One. Now I must plot my return to that part of the world so that I can commune with my music-loving peers!

This time of year can be hard and it doesn’t help that the show calendar is lighter. Last week felt so off until Friday night at The Roxy where I went to see We Are Scientists and suddenly the world clicked back into place. These New York rockers blasted through their set of songs celebrating their most recent album, but not discounting their older hits. The band was a massive uplift bringing humor, heart, and reasonably priced merch items to brighten the day.

I hope everyone had a lovely holiday if you choose to celebrate. My cold ended up being a super fun sinus infection and this week, I was thankful for pharmaceutical drugs to help clear that mess up. I’m left with a lovely cough as a reminder for now but hopefully, I can muster for something this week. We do have some impending rain but don’t let that keep you inside on a stacked Friday night!
