Local Music Nation

Nothing says welcome home from a long vacation like 5 hours of music at the Hotel Cafe, which is exactly what I did last Tuesday night. The highlight of the night was special guests Matt and Chris of The Amazons who, after playing with friend and tour-mate Joshua Speers, did a couple of their tunes.  Seeing them in such an intimate space felt particularly special after watching The Amazons play for huge festival crowds overseas last spring. Gotta love LA!

Next week I’m most looking forward to the long awaited return of Jessie Baylin and a special Ben Grey (of Dear Boy) birthday party.
