Kristen’s LA Concert Calendar 4/9-4/15

Happy Easter everyone! It’s a time for rebirth and I certainly feel like my life is changing. I have this horrible feeling like the decisions I make in the next couple of weeks will have a profound influence on the rest of my life. At Easter mass, I prayed for the strength to make the right choices. Currently I’m failing at boiling some eggs for dying so clearly my prayers have not been heard quite yet.

Friday night, I was lucky enough to be at The Bootleg Theater to watch Garbage “rehearse” for their upcoming tour. Shirley Manson and company are still on top of their game, rocking out a lengthy set list of Garbage hits as well as a couple new tunes from their forthcoming record. Here’s a review of the show my friend Steve wrote. He borrowed some of my pictures. ( ). If you’re in LA, I hope you were able to get tickets to their El Rey shows this week…

Best Easter Egg Hunt Ever!

If you’re in Philadelphia, you should definitely check this out. I just got the following in an email from World Cafe Live:

World Cafe Live’s first-ever Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 3rd at 1 p.m. Six Easter eggs will be placed around Center City & University City with a pair of tickets in each for a certain show!!

Here is how you can play: Follow us on Twitter: and on Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m., we will tweet six clues to help you find the eggs. Each clue is paired with one show: Ozomatli, Jason Collett, Aqualung, Sierra Leone’s Refugee All-Stars and Tao Rodriguez Seeger & Paper Bird! Don’t worry, we’ll be sure to let you know which clue goes with which show so you can be sure to hunt down the right one! When you’ve found the egg, tweet us back!

Does that not sound like the best idea for an Easter egg hunt!?! Someone in LA should set this up. I want to play!
