I don’t know about you but I had a lovely week(end) attending the San Diego County Fair (or Del Mar Fair as it’s better known) and The Nervous Wreckords/Maren Parusel cd release at the Casbah. I also can’t believe it’s already July and I’m taking off on Saturday for some Philly/NY action. Of course there is a band involved and I’m super stoked to be seeing them on the east coast for once. What a drizzly Monday this has turned out to be! We had some rain Saturday as well and it’s definitely wet outside. I don’t mind this kind of weather every once in awhile but I think if I lived some place like Seattle all I would ever want to do is sleep. I’m poised for a nap right now!

Anyways, despite the wet weather today, the week promises to clear up in time for some excellent shows! It all starts Thursday for Nico Vega and continues Friday with The Howls CD Release show and finishes Saturday with Endoxi and Kevin Martin. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg…

Amanda’s SD Concert Calendar 12/12-12/18

Well the holidays are knocking at our doors and it seems like we were just having some summer fun. I can tell you that the holidays bring wonderful holiday shows to our lovely San Diego area. I myself was part of the media crew for 91X and was at Wrex the Halls both days. When I wasn’t shooting some video or stills, I was watching bands like Cage the Elephant (my personal fav), Florence + The Machine (from the side sage!), Naked and Famous, Mutemath (headstand on a piano just because), Blink 182 (Travis Barker is amazing!!), Pennywise, Switchfoot (super fun), Death Cab for Cutie (watched Ben Gibbard do a drum breakdown from side stage), and soooo many more bands! It was wonderful and magical as always. Never thought I would have the opportunity to do such great things!

I’d like to know how this month is already halfway over? Wasn’t it just the 4th of July? Seriously!

Well, I’m really excited today, although I must admit that it has nothing to do with music. Today marks the beginning of some major television shows coming back from hiatus including my favorite, Castle!
