I have a bit of a To Do list to accomplish if I am to get to
the Lot Party, but I hope to see you there!

As for the rest of the week, my top picks are Alpha Rev at
The Hotel Cafe on Wednesday, Deadly Birds at The Viper Room on Friday, and of
course another High Voltage show Saturday at TRiP!

As it is the second week of the new year, I fully expect everyone (myself included) to be completely rested up and out and about for some really great shows this week! I don’t venture out as often as those of you might think but I’m feeling a change in the air. My highlights for this week include The Milk Carton Kids at Anthology, Zane Carney at Lestats, Fierce Creatures at Tin Can Alehouse, and Transfer and The Silent Comedy at Casbah. Whew, that’s a lot. With my end of year mix published (debating on whether or not to reveal my B-Sides), it’s on to listening to artists for my next mix…for SXSW! I can’t believe how quickly March approaches…

But focusing on shows this week, The Satellite is having Satellite Nights. Free shows all week and a great opportunity to discover new bands like Chasing Kings, NO, and Roman Candle Wars. If you haven’t been to The Satellite, here’s an excellent opportunity to head over to Silverlake and check it out.
