Last week was all about cats, potatoes, and emotional upheavals.  At the end of the madness, I went to a screening of Sean Penn’s Flag Day where Sean Penn himself answered questions about his new film starring his daughter, Dylan Penn. The real star of the film, in my opinion, was the music. Penn found a way to bring out these beautiful songs with visual montages and the combo hit all the right emotional notes. As the credits rolled, I noticed that many of the songs were credited to Glen Hansard, Eddie Vedder, and Cat Power so that explained a lot! I look forward to the release of the Flag Day Soundtrack August 20^th so that I can really dig into these tunes.
