My body feels a bit broken from all the walking I did last week on my “winter break”. A trip to Chicago did involve a few stray snowflakes, ice skating, and plenty of Christmas lights, but mostly I was there for some music including an intimate warehouse set from Morgxn, 2021 faves Cleopatrick, Badflower playing songs of their Temper EP (the best!), my first time seeing the incredible Evanescence, and a special holiday show staring Sarah Brightman.
This week, I will be particularly grateful for my car and sitting in traffic to get to shows instead of walking miles and miles after busses and trains decide not to work properly.
