I was at both ends of San Diego this past week for music-related events. Early in the week, I was in Oceanside for the Oceanside Film Festival screening of I Am Alright, which was about “the rise and fall of The Silent Comedy.” More specifically, it discussed the impact of the music business on one’s mental health and the costs involved in trying to make it. The movie is ever evolving so it will be great to see how it changes over time! After the screening and subsequent q & a, they played a few songs acoustically with Shane Hall filling in for a missing member. A few days later, I was down at the Music Box for a very rowdy Almost Monday show. It was a very fulfilling week, musically speaking. Let’s see what’s up this week…
