I finally got myself to the newly rebranded Knitting Factory in North Hollywood last week. Other than some new signage, the venue did not feel changed since The Federal Bar used to host gigs on their second story bar space. But I had a fabulous night catching up with The Material after 10 years of not playing shows and it’s nice to see the Knitting Factory brand return to Los Angeles.

Speaking of comebacks, next week marks the return of one of my favorite LA events, Echo Park Rising! The free event will take place across Echo Park including three stages at the Echo and Echoplex. Also featured next week we have Australian artist, Dan Sultan, and a really tough call Friday night between Sports Team and Betcha.
