Life has been a bit overwhelming lately and it was recently pointed out to me that I hadn’t taken a day off this year, so I did my best this weekend to not put any pressure on myself to do…anything. Having 9 hours of Spring Training baseball to watch certainly helped in this endeavor.

I hope to jump back into the fray tomorrow, motivated by a mid-week treat in the form of UK artists, Freya Ridings and Benedict Cork, playing The Hotel Cafe Wednesday night. Freya and her livestreams were a staple of my pandemic times and this week is the first of her residency shows while she is in LA. Benedict grabbed my attention and quickly stole my heart when I saw him open for Tors in London last year.
