The Los Angeles Times Festival of Books was this weekend and I was swept away by the panels, signings, and general camaraderie found in the book-loving community. It was a festival focused on books/reading, but there was quite a bit of crossover with music, art, travel, and tea (all things I love). Highlight of the weekend was probably meeting Abraham Verghese (Covenant of Water) whose wisdom and eloquence extends beyond the page.

Music highlights next week include a last-minute Lime Cordiale show, Young Rising Sons at the Lodge Room, and a very sold out Benson Boone gig (have you heard his album? – it’s a gem!). Here’s what else might inspire:
