With the closing of the Hotel Cafe, I’ve lost my go to Monday and Tuesday night activities. Monday Monday will have one final blow out party next week to celebrate the end of an era at the Hotel Cafe and I’m not quite sure what is next for Lucas Flood’s Showcase (he’s booking for SoFar sounds, but that is not quite the same…). I remember the days when Monday night was THE night for music showcases and discovery. I really hope someone will fill this gap on my calendar. Mondays are hard enough without something to look forward to at the end of them!

As for the rest of the week, we’ve got some can’t miss acts from overseas (Billie Marten, Wonderhorse, Yard Act, King Fishr), Judy Collins’ final LA show, and The Wrecks celebrate 10 years of their debut EP with a special show in Pomona. Since this EP is also quite special to me, I will be making the trek if anyone is interested in a carpool…
