I’ve been living vicariously through others photo posts of Coachella. I’m not really sad I’m not there because I don’t miss the heat and dust but it’s been nice to view from afar. I had no shows this week but I did spend a day doing a cross-country clinic on my horse. We had a good time but I think I’m still recovering. Hopefully, I can get into something this week but May is going to be absolutely crazy for me so I might have to rest up until then…

This week seemed both long and short. I can’t believe I spent Tuesday at House of Blues for The Hunna/Coasts show because that seems so long ago but I also can’t believe it’s already Sunday. I had a great time at the show on Tuesday (despite being very tired) and made some new friends, one from LA and one from down here (hi Erin!). I’m super glad I bought my ticket ahead of time so that I would actually make it to the show. Totally worth leaving the house to attend.

I don’t know if I’ll be making it out to any shows this week. I’m on call for jury duty for the whole month of April and I get to call again tonight after 6pm to find out if I have to go in. I suppose it’s better than a wasted day but it’s hard to be “on call” because then I’ll have to rearrange my plans for the week. We shall see…

Well, I spent my week home recovering from a stupid cold that I picked up on my trip/way home. It felt a lot like the cold I had before but I’m feeling much better much quicker. I did dip up to LA to catch James Bay on Wednesday at the Belasco, which was an absolute treat. I’m still not sure how I feel about this new look he’s got right now and I’m about 50/50 on his new stuff but I’m glad we were able to hear more new tunes other than what he’s released so far. There are a few I really enjoyed like Slide and Us and Just For Tonight. Sadly, I had to miss out on Red Jumpsuit Apparatus but I felt like death warmed over so, there you go. But it’s a fresh week and I’m feeling 75% better so maybe I’ll venture out. Or maybe I’ll take the month off.

I’m still in Nashville and currently waiting for my show on Sunday night (this is a scheduled post). I’m beyond excited to see all these amazing acts on one stage at The Opry. I just wanted to make sure I got this done before I got too lost in my evening. My Saturday night was a little rough with a missed opportunity to catch a Panic! At The Disco show and finding out I missed a Zane Carney show the night before (thanks Instagram for your stupid algorithm) but it had some amazing food involved so I can’t be too mad. I will be back home late Monday night so hopefully, I’m not too worn out to catch some fun stuff this week!
