I can’t decide if I’m feeling more Grinch or more festive this holiday season. There are definitely times where I feel like I hate everyone and then days I find myself singing Christmas songs. I guess that’s kind of how the holidays are in general. I feel like they came much too fast this year and I feel rather under-prepared compared to other years. Not really sure what to do about it other than to just embrace it, shrug it off, and start fresh in 2019. Shows are a little light on the ground until we hit Saturday, so enjoy that extra helping and then go dance it off this weekend!

I had a lovely time in NYC with Kristen. I wasn’t nearly as active as her in terms of getting around, but the whole thing was exactly what I needed. It gave me a chance to get refreshed and ready. Also, a little Broadway never hurt anyone, the magic was definitely in the air!

I’m pondering plans for NYE and I’m not sure if I want to actually do anything or just continue the homebody tradition. There’s still time though. In the meantime, I’m getting ready for Christmas. I hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving. I was thankful for no dishes but I’d be lying if I said I’m sad about a lack of leftovers. I don’t think I needed a week of leftover mashed potatoes but I’ve been on the pasta train lately, so what do I know really? In other news, Kristen and I just booked a last minute trip to New York to see The Cursed Child in December. It will be a quick trip but should be a fun one! I’ll finally get to pull out my winter things.

I got back from a lovely trip yesterday. I spent a long weekend in Tuscon watching Crimes of Grindelwald with friends, catching up on some things, making and eating food, and all around lounging around in pjs and watching stuff on television. It was a much-needed recharge for me and I’m home and ready to get back in the swing of things. I’m happy to sleep in my own bed at home though…

This is the first year in my entire life that I will be having Thanksgiving at a restaurant instead of at home. I’m looking forward to this experience but I might miss having leftovers after turkey day. Shows this week are a little anemic due to the holiday, so take the time to spend it with your family and friends. Please eat too much and enjoy your holiday if you celebrate it.
