Well, I’ve had a super busy but thoroughly enjoyable week! I crash landed from Boston straight into San Diego Comic Con. I had two press rooms, watched a few pilots (excited for Castle Rock!), and enjoyed a few panels like EW: Brave Warriors, Riverdale, Impulse, and Inside the Big Bang Theory Writer’s Room. I’m gearing up for a quick trip back to New York for a fabrics convention and then I plan to be home for a good long while. But enough about me, let’s check out the shows for this week…

Today is my annual Supernatural day at San Diego Comic Con. I’ll be hanging with the Winchester brothers et al., getting some scoop on the upcoming 14th season of the show and catching up with some of my favorite people at Comic Con. I’ll have plenty of stories to share next week from my action-packed time week at SDCC, but, as usual, I’m looking forward to returning home and seeing some live music.  This week I am particularly excited about getting a sneak peek at new Dead Sara Tuesday night at Amoeba records.  That band has been sorely missed!

Hello from New York! Or Boston. I’m not really sure at this point but I’m on a bus headed to Boston at the moment. I have a few days in Boston before I crash land into Comic Con. I had an absolutely amazing time on this trip complete with a double dose of Tyler Glenn in Kinky Boots; many Tyler hugs after the show; seeing the amazing cast of Boys in the Band including but not limited to Jim Parsons, Matt Boomer, Andrew Rannells, and Zachary Quinto, tons of yummy food, including a binge at Veselka; and overall good times with friends. Amanda’s SD Concert Calendar 7/9-7/15

This past week brought about a bunch of unwanted heat and all I could bring myself to do was not much of anything. I did get to attend a reunion of sorts with a lot of my college theater people and I had an absolutely lovely time! It had been way too long and there was lots of catching up and stories told and some really cool stuff. One alum does the special effects makeup on Chicago Fire, which is rad! Another is still doing stuff at Disney, one is doing motion capture stuff, and another is still stage managing shows! Super cool.

These next few weeks are going to be insane for me. I head to New York Wednesday night for a super fun trip with friends! There promises to be a lot of food, laughs, and musicals. We are heading to Boston after New York to see Moulin Rouge and then I get back and it’s straight to Comic Con. Please pray for me.

This heat is making me delirious.  This whole too hot to sleep yet too hot to stay awake thing can really mess with a person’s mental stability.  I’m finding some relief in a birthday party, movie, and cafes with wifi, but I really do look forward to returning to work tomorrow where I will have to bring a jacket.

Next week marks a pretty big occasion in my life.  On Tuesday it will be 10 years to the day since I moved to Los Angeles. I will be celebrating by doing the same thing I did my first night in this city, going to The Hotel Cafe.  Come join me!

I had a pretty action-packed week filled with both The Fray at the Del Mar Fair and The Milk Carton Kids at the Belly Up and topped up with a horse show in which I took 3rd! I’m looking forward to a more relaxing week before I take off to the east coast for what promises to be an awesome trip, topped off with Comic-Con upon my return. Music is a little light this holiday week, which makes me feel better about
