Well, that cold kicked my butt pretty hard. I’m still not running at 100% but I’m pretty close. There was a lot of Murder, She Wrote watching while I stayed on the couch all day. I think it helped! Now, October is coming and I have to be tip top for some highly anticipated shows but we will get to those later. This week involves a trip to Disneyland for myself but I’m not sure what else yet. Let’s see what’s going on.

After a big week of TV previews at The Paley Center, I’m ready to dive back in with some good music. I’m off to a big start today in San Diego at the Kaaboo music festival! I feel like I’m most looking forward to seeing Jewel who is definitely on that list of artists I’ve listened to obsessively but have never seen.  I’ll also be rocking out with Vista Kicks and The All-American Rejects.  Still not sure what I’m going to do about the headliner situation (Katy Perry vs. Robert Plant).  We’ll see where my mood takes me!

Kristen’s LA Concert Calendar: 9/10- 9/16

After a whirlwind week of music (seriously, every night there was at least one show!), I am enjoying a quick trip to NorCal where I celebrated both a marriage and 10 years of friendship with my grad school cohort.  Today, I’m venturing to the Oakland Alameda Coliseum (I had to look up what that one was called) to see a baseball game then it’s back to the airport and home again!

This week’s show pick: Tom Odell at Moroccan Lounge. He’s playing two sold out shows. If you weren’t lucky enough to get a ticket, head to The Hotel Cafe where Meiko is also doing a two-fer, the second set in the small room will be her playing her debut LP in its entirety!
