Tonight! George Stanford at The Hotel Cafe
After a day like today, I’m really going to need a cathartic sing-along. Fortunately another Philly transplant, George Stanford has a gig at The Hotel Cafe. With songs like “Big Drop” and “Nikole” one can’t help but sing and sway all your troubles away. George’s plesant voice and mellow vibe is sure to relax me before I gear up for another work weekend. If you also need a dose of TGIF, for whatever reason, come join me tonight, Friday October 15th 11pm at The Hotel Cafe!
Come early for a little Sahara Smith (7pm), Laura Martin with Arrica Rose (8pm), Maxim Ludwig and the Santa Fe Seven (9pm), and Parlor Hawk (10pm) and stay for Johnny Moezzi at midnight.
Let’s hear it for a lovely evening of music at the end of a challenging week!

Today’s Playlist: A Stress Buster
It’s been an overly stressful day/week. I’ve been listening to a lot of Deas Vail, Florence and The Machine, and Fran Healy’s new CD, Wreckorder. Thought I’d share…
What do you listen to when you’re stressed?

“Oh No” More Queen Caveat
I would never complain about more music from my newest fave LA band, Queen Caveat. They recently did an acoustic version of their tune “Oh No” for Beta Records. I love this band!
If you don’t have their EP, Emptor, you should check it out!
Also, come see them play live October 28th at The Roxy as part of Nico Vega’s Halloween Witch Hunt. Also featuring Saint Motel and Imagine Dragons.

Amanda’s Show Calendar 10/11-10/17
It’s another slow Monday night in San Diego. I spent yesterday recovering from the wonderful two night showcase at the Ruby Room. It was a fantastic time! I hope some of you made it out.
