Local Music Nation

I am taking off this week for Philadelphia where I hope to connect with a few Philly area artists (and maybe discover some new ones). I’m listening to the recent live album from Pawnshop Roses in anticipation of my trip.

My week took a bit of a turn when I sprained my ankle getting out of my car and ended up unable to walk (or drive) without pain. Laid up, I found myself diving into new music from Yungblood, Badflower, Grandson, JC Stewart, Jade Bird, Young Rising Sons…and getting into ALL of it!

I’d also like to give a shoutout to band love, Dear Boy who seem to be gearing up for a new album with their newly released single, “Kelly Green.” Check out the video!

Hopefully, I’ll be up (if not running) again next week. Lots to look forward to including awaited returns of Matthew Mayfield and Cobi, a special benefit with Lake Street Dive, and another opportunity to fall in love with Blame My Youth.
