Amanda’s SD Show Calendar 9/12-9/18

I don’t know if you journeyed out to the San Diego Music Thing this past weekend but it was definitely something amazing. I’m not entirely sure how many bands we saw in two days but I know we sampled more than our fair share. It felt like a mini SXSW and I was wiped out yesterday! Nothing like going back to the real world after 2 days of panels and music. Ha ha.

Despite the insane amount of music on Friday and Saturday, we still have some must see shows this week!

Kristen’s LA Concert Calendar: 9/5-9/11

Looks to be another busy week ahead…and an especially good one for The Viper Room. I’m more than a little excited to finally see Our Lady Peace perform live…and on such a tiny stage (insert squeals of delight).

I’m also really looking forward to next Friday/Saturday as it is The San Diego Music Thing. It’s basically a mini SXSW in San Diego. Panels on music related topics then evenings crowded with shows, many of them at venues in walking distance from one another. Friday night we have the likes of Queen Caveat, Kevin Martin, Purple Melon, Andy Clockwise, Nico Vega, The  Silent Comedy, Endoxi, and Eli James…whew!  It’s gonna get a tad crazy…

I nearly forgot I needed to write this up as it kind of feels like the weekend is not over yet…because it’s not! YAY for three days weekends. I actually had some great plans for today but proceeded to sleep through all of them. I must have had way too much fun last night at The After Midnight Project show at The Key Club. The AMP boys put on quite the to-do and I am so glad some of you were able to make it out to see my most recent band obsession. I’ve got good reviews all around so I’m incredibly pleased. For more of my musical suggestions, check out this week’s calendar…if you’re looking to try something new, might I suggest Queen Caveat at Spaceland on Saturday.
