Kristen’s LA Concert Calendar: 12/3-12/9

It has been quite a busy week/weekend. I managed to work at least three 12 hour days last week plus catch some great shows (pictures posted soon to LMN’s facebook page). This weekend, we got the Christmas tree up and trimmed with the help of some lovely elves. Next week has the potential to be epic (you see who’s playing Thursday night at The Satellite, right?), but I worry that this cold I woke up with a couple of days ago might put a damper on things. At the moment, I can’t see past Biffy Clyro, but I’m also looking forward to Friday night at Molly Malone’s with The Honey Trees and Lakes and Nashville’s Bonnie Bishop at The Mint on Saturday.

There are actually fantastic show opportunities every night this week. I hope you can make it out!

I hope you folks don’t catch the nasty cold that’s going around. I have it, it’s redoubled it’s efforts and doesn’t seem to want to leave. Doesn’t it know I have shows to attend this week? I barely survived last week. I can’t remember the last time I pushed my poor body so hard for so long. I can’t say it was a bad week because it was peppered by some amazing musical experiences, but it’s not a good sign when going to a show is a “break” rather than the end of your day. But it is weeks like these that make me most thankful for great live music and its ability to get me through just about anything.

Here’s to hoping this week can be fabulous without the severe sleep deprivation!  Musically, there is a lot of promise. Friday I’m going to wish I could be in 10 places at once. Thankfully, my fave rockers Queen Caveat will also be making an appearance Weds night down in Hermosa Beach. They’ve been busy recording new music and I’ve been suffering withdrawals…

SO full right now. So so very full. The annual Easter party was full of friends and food and eggs that now look like angry birds…what more could you want!?! Why music of course! I’m trying to clear some room in my stomach for the french fries that will hopefully accompany more friends and some awesome tunes at Saint Rocke tonight…assuming I will be able to move by then…

I will definitely be able to move by Monday night because I got my ticket for The Airborne Toxic Event at The Satellite the instant they went on sale (AKA wouldn’t miss it for the world). There are tons of great shows this week. I’m really looking forward to it. Hopefully my work schedule will permit me to partake!
