As I slowly try to figure out how to both safely and comfortably return to the show-going life, I’ve been struggling with the concept of stopping work in the evening and mustering the energy to go out and run around town on the fumes. Last week I found some inspiration from an unlikely source- a comic book! Volume 8 of The Sandman has a gem of a panel where the faerie Cluarcen, after a busy night of mischief-making, exclaims, “It’s amazing how much one can accomplish in an evening, if one is willing to expend a little effort, and to walk briskly.” This life motto struck a chord (or maybe a memory) and got me out the door with great success!
