I’m not sure if it was because I hadn’t seen live music in over a week, because this year is not off to a great start for me or simply because there was some incredible talent up on stage, but last week’s musical adventures all rose to the level of magical. There was the beautiful chaos of Beauty School Dropout, the insane vocals and instrumentation brought to you by Evan + Zane at their retrospective (plus orchestra) show, and the one and only Jack Garratt showing everyone how it’s done playing his first LA show in years at the Hotel Cafe.
