There is a lot to be excited about this fine Grammy Week. I don’t remember who is on the nomination list, but I do know a few of my top picks are playing LA including Evan Bartels at the Hotel Cafe and The Milk Carton Kids at the El Rey.  I also know that The Grammy Museum is offering free entry on Friday where I plan to spend a lot of time reminiscing at The Roxy: 50 and Still Rockin’ exhibit.

Winston House Presents: Out of the Blue 30 shows in 30 days has been a wonderful way to kick off a new year of artist discovery. You know I’m a big fan of a showcase and these sponsored shows have given me some great fodder for concert calendars to come! Happy 2024! I’m finalizing my 2023 Music Mix and noticing a lyrical trend that suggests maybe 2023 was not the best year for me. I’m hoping 2024 will begin moving in a better direction.  The year is certainly off to a strong musical start as the first week closes with gigs from Beauty School Dropout, Evan + Zane and Jack Garratt. I got a preview of new Jack Garratt material over the summer when I was in London and it was one of the best gigs of my year so I would particularly endorse a stop by the Hotel Cafe Saturday night…
