Amanda’s SD Concert Calendar 7/6-7/12

I hope everyone had a lovely 4th celebrating America and her independence. Mine was pretty chill, which was perfect because I had been to two shows the night before and I just can’t hack it like I used to. Yesterday was spent at Disneyland so I had a fairly productive weekend. Now, I have to buckle down and get some stuff done before the crew from High Voltage comes down for Comic Con. This week is going to be insanity. It always is, but in a good way. So while I will not be partaking in any musical adventures this week, rest assured, there are things to do. Choose wisely.

Well, my weekend didn’t go exactly as planned, but my 4th of July ended with friends and fireworks so we’ll call it a win. Next week is Comic Con (!!!!!!!). I’m starting to get that nervous excited feeling. I’m not as prepared as I was last year, but hopefully things will still go smoothly.  I just packed some very exciting snack packs so at least I won’t go hungry. Other things to look forward to: interviewing the cast of Supernatural, seeing a panel with The Muppets, learning more about the new Star Wars movie, and rocking out to Dave Green of The Filthy Souls at a Geeks Go Glam party (which you can join me at if you happen to be in SD Info: http://geeksgoglam.brownpapertickets.com/)

Amanda’s SD Concert Calendar 6/29-7/5

I went to my very first country music show this weekend. For being a girl with a horse who enjoys country music, you would think I’ve gone to a country show before but I haven’t. It was an interesting experience full of posers, wasted people, head bopping, and good tunes. I would do it again, especially now that I know what I’m in for. This week is kind of quiet music wise. Probably due to the holiday and Comic Con next week.

Kristen’s LA Concert Calendar: 6/29-7/5

I realized today that I ended my month of June much like it began, with an Urth Caffe boba green tea followed directly by a set from Dark Waves.  That Make Music Pasadena set seems like a lifetime ago, but nope, that was June. After today’s set (at a street festival in Santa Monica), the Dark Waves EP was put on repeat for the rest of the day. Those songs just get in there and don’t let go!

Next weekend is July 4th! I hope you have some fun plans. My plan is to get a lot of work done this week so that I might be able to get to a BBQ or two. Although I will make an exception for Monday night where I hope to be playing the how many venues can you squeeze into one evening game.

If you’re looking for some music, here’s what I recommend:

ALSO: Monday Monday at Room 5 f. Joel Eckels, Michael Doman, Josiah Leming & Co. (8pm)

Tuesday: The Griswolds at The Troubadour (8pm)
ALSO: John Reilly & Friends at Largo (8:30)

Amanda’s SD Concert Calendar 6/22-6/28

It’s been more than a littel hot down here in San Diego this past week. We San Diegans are very spoiled here and aren’t ashamed to admit it. I’m thankful for central air conditioning and naps. But that’s just me. Thankfully it was cool enough for me to make it out to Del Mar and have some fun at the San Diego County Fair. I saw Charles Esten and Lennon and Maisy Stella and it was a really good time! It was like a little bit of Nashville  came to San Diego and it was quite fun!

p.s. I woke up this morning with what seems to be a stomach bug which makes it hard to be fully coherent. As such, some events might be missing from this calendar and for that, I apologize.

Amanda’s SD Concert Calendar 6/15-6/21

I’m home! And I brought a cold with me… It was probably from all the airline travel. Or maybe the drastic weather changes from drizzly SF to super hot Vegas. Or maybe my body just won’t let me have nice things without consequences. Haha. Either way, the first half of my Neon Trees vacation was an absolute blast with an unexpected show at the YouTube space in LA for What’s Trending. They brought in bits from CBGB including the bar, the walls, and the awning and that was the set for the performance. If you want to see the performance, it’s here.
