And the Christmas party season begins! I’m about to head out the door for The High Voltage Holiday Party at Molly Malone’s. This will be the first of many Holiday show opportunities this week including great events at The Largo, The Roxy, and The Hotel Cafe (always my favorite).

My show pick this week, however, is most definitely The Silent Comedy at The Troubadour Tuesday night. This one is a can’t miss so…well, don’t miss it!

I’m briefly poking my head out of my writing hibernation to bring you this week’s concert calendar. This wonderfully long weekend has mostly consisted of food, caffeine, and long hours at my computer, but I also made a major push on Holiday gifts (aka my annual music mix) which I’m quite excited about. Speaking of Christmas presents, I’m thinking of getting myself one in the form of a ticket to The Watkins Family Christmas Show at Largo. If anyone would care to join me, let me know!

Show pick of this week is our annual High Voltage Holiday party this Sunday at 8pm at Molly Malone’s. Everyone through the door gets a gift! Last Monday night was one for the books not because I saw several of my favorite bands at multiple venues, but because everywhere I went, I was unexpectedly surrounded by so many of my favorite people.  I’ve been too busy lately and unable to spend enough time with friends and to see so many in one night was simply magical. I bring this up because Thanksgiving is upon us and there is nothing I am more thankful for than all of the amazing people in my life that I get to call friend.

Let’s see if this week can be just as great. We certainly have some exciting show options including SXSW ’13 pick Six60 who are in town from New Zealand. Also, don’t miss your last chance to see November residency acts The Filthy Souls and George Stanford both playing Tuesday night.
