you all hanging! What show am I most upset about missing? I think its a
tie between Monday night at Bardot with Jukebox the Ghost in town and
seeing recent discovery, Thomas Wynn & The Believers for the first time at
Bootleg Bar on Thursday. Then, of course, there is Green Day at The

The Olympics have started! I am already completely hooked. I’ve watched swimming, gymnastics, volleyball, beach volleyball, weight lifting, soccer, cycling, dressage, fencing, archery, shooting, rowing, basketball…well you get the picture. I am having a very difficult time pulling myself away enough to do much else. It is going to be difficult to get out to any shows this week and that is really saying something. I wonder if there is some sort of condition to define my predicament…

I survived the weekend in the desert. I think my body is still recovering from the shock of not being in the 100+ degree weather. Happy Easter everyone! It’s a time for rebirth and I certainly feel like my life is changing. I have this horrible feeling like the decisions I make in the next couple of weeks will have a profound influence on the rest of my life. At Easter mass, I prayed for the strength to make the right choices. Currently I’m failing at boiling some eggs for dying so clearly my prayers have not been heard quite yet.

Friday night, I was lucky enough to be at The Bootleg Theater to watch Garbage “rehearse” for their upcoming tour. Shirley Manson and company are still on top of their game, rocking out a lengthy set list of Garbage hits as well as a couple new tunes from their forthcoming record. Just got back from the long drive from Austin, TX where we spent a glorious week immersed in the musical insanity that is SXSW.
