Last week added to my list of international music discoveries. SXSW listening lead me to bands like The Mysterines (Liverpool), Pillow Queens (Dublin) and Caiine (Manchester) and there were some intriguing finds via international livestreams such as Germany’s Amazon Music stream (Flore), Australia’s Isol-Aid (Cxloe, Los Leo), and the UK’s Communion Presents (Deliah Montagu, Jordan Mackampa). I put all of my new artists in a playlist and listened while putting together a new bookshelf. Yay for no longer having to store books on the floor!
Next week is all about Folk Music with the week-long Folk Unlocked Virtual Conference full of music showcases from around the world! In addition, the community will come together for panels, workshops, exhibits, and networking.
