I’ve made tentative plans with my sci-fi/fantasy book club to have our next meeting in person   and, let me tell you, book club has never felt so illicitly thrilling! I’ve also bought a ticket to another concert in the fall even though it’s still hard for me to fathom how the return to live, in-person music is going to go. I’m starting to pay more attention to show announcements and will do my best to include my Los Angeles picks on my list here until we revert back to an in person show list. In the meantime, I’m rather enjoying my remote showcases, particularly Monday/Wednesday with afternoons at Scruff of the Neck and the recent virtual return of It’s a School night in the evenings. Because of these showcases, last week was all about “Stop Prangin Out” by Bilk and “Freeway” by Briston Maroney until I fell down a familiar Twin Atlantic rabbit hole and listened to nothing but Free for three days.  Sometimes you just need comfort music.

Next week kicks off Season 3 of Tony Lucca in the Mo’Verb Lounge, finds Birdy joining Covers Nation and celebrates Earth Day with a couple choice music festival options.
